I finally found a book that has talking to the dead AND murder mystery! and J.S. Donovan did a bang up job with both. Probably should have given 4 stars due to editing errors but I feel for those who don't have me as an editor! LOL

Not 100% satisfied, but not all bad either.

I think by the time I got to this last story in this trilogy, it was time to end it. I was just wanting to get through it. It wasn't bad, but it just wasn't quite as good as I thought it might be. Probably my fault, no doubt.

As for a recommendation. If it interests you, then go for it. Just because it didn't quite sit right with me, does not mean it can't be enjoyed by many others. We all have our own little things that we expect or look for. There were some parts of this story that had me quickly turning pages as fast as I could because I had to know what was going to happen. It was the times that left me wanting that I couldn't quite adjust to.

All in all, fairly good. I think I had a bigger problem with one of the main characters than the story it's self.

Seeing

Rachel has the gift of seeing the dead, but it's also a curse. While trying to help fulfill a dead serial killer he can also inflict pain.

I have this book five stars because it really makes you think. How would we be able to deal with talking to the dead? Most of us would scream, faint, or die. I know I would.

If you want a journey to the unknown I suggest you read this book.

Another hit

Another adventure for detective Halloway and Peak. This book is a continuation of book one. The detectives have a cat and mouse game to catch a devious killer before they can catch them. No spoiler alerts so read this one and figure out the mystery. Well worth the read.

Great book

I hope there are more stories coming. This was a great story. Read it in one day, very easy to get into, story line was great. Writing was great, author did a great job with the characters and the entire story. I can't wait to read more from this author. I would recommend this story.

A Suspense Story Filled with Love

This is a story that combines very different genres but does so masterfully. In a perfect communion of paranormal, thriller and love stories, the characters have to deal with unsuspected threats both mortal and supernatural. The psychological torment brought out by unnecessary guilt, brings the protagonist Lex to the brink of desperation until friendship, love, and professional investigation skills, can finally lift that tormenting burden from her shoulders. The characters are all very well developed and likable. The guessing game continues to the end and will not disappoint. The ending of the book assumes a continuation and I for one cannot wait to read it.

Excellent Listen

Oh man, this was a really good thriller! Opening with a nightmare of Alexandrea murdering her own parents, this tale only builds in suspense from there. When her parents actually are brutally murdered, it turns her life upside down and sends her into a spiral of murder, confusion and insanity. With her best friend/cousin and her childhood sweetheart at her side, Alexandrea will face a killer that wants her dead. Zizi Cole and Courtney Parker are an absolute dream team on this one! This book would be enjoyed by anyone who likes the mystery/thriller genre!

Sweet Nightmares

This audiobook is a mixture of bit mystery, a bit thriller, and a bit romance. Alexandrea has a very warm and supportive group of people around her to help her through this difficult time. It is exciting to see her discover things about her heritage throughout the book. There is a lot of suspense and I kept me interested listening to the audiobook

great paranormal book

This book starts off with some intensity, so that was a nice change from the normal slow burn. The premise of nightmares impacting reality was a cool addition. I liked that the romance aspect was a small part of the book and not the main focus. The story had some nice twists and the narrator kept everything moving forward at a nice pace. All in all, worth a credit.

Super fun! Impossible to put down!

I loved this story, it catches you from the beginning and keeps your interest to the end! Full of mystery and magic, but in a fun non-cheesy way! The characters are smart and engaging and expertly narrated.

Intriguing supernatural selection.

Leonie is smart and compassionate heroine with a supernatural (?), metaphysical(?) ability to find missing children. According to this story's lore, the special gift is passed genetically within a small, mysterious community in Louisiana.

The author skillfully blends mystery, lore, and a bit of romance in an imaginative and digestible storyline. The heroine's tale unfolds as she risks her life and familial bonds to attempt rescue of abducted children.

I like this book because the supernatural/metaphysical element is interesting and because it blends well with the mystery and challenge facing the heroine and her compatriots.

I really enjoyed The Time Jumper

Part 1 and 2 were given to me by the author in exchange for my review. I really enjoyed The Time Jumper, which ended with a cliffhanger, and I had to purchase part 3. Now I've finished Part 3, only to find the same situation at the end of this book! I enjoyed reading all three parts. I found that the plot and the action moved along quite fast, the charachatures were realistic and engaging, and tHere were many 'unknowns' to try to figure out. I felt real compassion for Emily, and many of her friends, as they were all in troubled parts of their lives.There are so many unanswered questions, and after reading all three books, I felt I should have been entrusted with a few answers...... I wonder how many more books I will have to buy, to get any fulfillment? Something in my deepest self is really unsetteled in the fact that I am given the first 2 books for free, and then must buy how many more episodes to get the satisfaction of finishing a story, and feeling finished, or completed! I enjoyed the books, but I don't like the feeling of being held hostage!

Halfway point

Worth the wait... but I kind of expected a little more. The story seems to advance only in the last two chapters, with an Orange Man supposed sighting, and the cliffhanger ending, leading into the fourth book. Most of this book seems to be as a placeholder for the next book in the series, which isn't a bad thing, especially as well written as Mr. Falconer makes this out to be. Characterization, pacing... it's all there. Maybe there is more to the story than what I saw, but I won't know until the next book in the series. I read the book in about two hours, and it read very briskly, I was just hoping for a little more meat with my potatoes. It's the only thing that's keeping this review from getting a fifth star. You'll need to read the first two books in the series before starting this one, this isn't something you can just pick up on in the middle. Because I invested time in the first two books, I was comfortable with the characters in this one, and I'm hoping for the payoff over the next two books.

Great book but .....

Love the series, but hate it feels like a cliffhanger. Although I Really do love what I have read, it is more of a short story that needs to be continued. I hesitated when I purchased it as it was $4.99, but I felt I was really enjoying it & afterall it was to be the conclusion. This story is Not done!

Fantastic book! This series should go on forever! I loved these first two books so much i could not bring myself to put them down or stop reading them

Big Bad Wolf

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, it is not a traditional werewolf story and certainly not a fairy tale about wolves. Great writing, likeable characters and overall fun. Second in the series that continues to pull you in and make you want more.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Certainly at times it did. The fight scene between the good werewolves and the big baddie was a great scene. Sarah Noffke did a wonderful job of describing the overall scene as well as the details without detracting from the fast paced flow of the fighting.

Which character as performed by Elizabeth Klett was your favorite?

Not sure if I have a favorite anymore. I loved her depiction of Rox in the first book, but I am leaning more towards Adelaide. Elizabeth Kent brings her frustration and attitude to life, making you feel for what she is going through even though at times you wish you could reach right into the book and smack her.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, but as much as I'd like to I have enjoyed Sarah's books so much that at times I prefer to give the story a break to let the scenes sink in before continuing.

Any additional comments?

Sarah continues to surprise me with each story she writes. She does an amazing job of creating lively characters as well as well written and insane story ideas. This book does not disappoint!

Brilliant story

This is a brilliant second audiobook in the series and the narrator once again does an excellent job. Ashamed of attacking Adelaide, Conner has run from the Lucidites and taken up his old habits to mask the guilt he feels. With Mika continuing to evolve new twists on humanity, it's an even more perilous race as to who will find Conner and the remaining wolves first, the Pack or Olento Research. This fast paced story has lots of suspense, intrigue, action, humour, loss and hints of romance, the narrator dose a great job of making the listener feel the emotions in this story.

A Great Start to a Fresh New Paranormal Story

When Coco Rhodes was four years old her parents were killed in relation to The Allegiance. Because of that she has done whatever she can to walk away from them. But an attempt on her life has to talking to her brother trying to figure out what his going on. He tells her to head to Italy where she finds herself in the middle of vampires, warlocks, and her own history.

Coco is going to learn that her life is a lie and that there are bigger thing going on than she initially knows about. The main thing being that The Allegiance has been trying to keep her safe all of these years. This is a huge world that Coco has found herself in and it will quickly get confusing with this cast. I loved the path that her motherâs paintings take her on.

I really enjoyed this story with the paranormal and the wonderful locations. I canât wait to see what happens to Coco next in The Devil and the Muse.

Interesting read

I found this book artistic and interesting, but also disjointed and choppy in theme. Interesting characters, but the story was not fluid, and I had difficulty following.

An entertaining story

This was an entertaining read featuring vampires and magic and paranormal romance. There's a lot of action, too, and a compelling plot. Recommended for fans of the genre.

Elegant and captivating! I could hardly put it down! The beginning was a bit confusing as there was so much back story and characters laid out but this is precisely what made the story so rich and different from other fantasy narratives. Looking forward to the next installment!

Dark and delicious! A definite must read!

As a loyal fan of the vampire genre, I tend to have somewhat high expectations... this book did not disappoint. I found the characters to be intelligent, dark, complex, and at times charmingly vulnerable. I am definitely looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Another funny adventure

Another great, fun adventure for Jack and his buddies. This time, they're on the trail of mermaids and leviathans, and with Jack being his usual snarky hilarious self, I'm surprised he doesn't get punched in the face more often!!!! His frequent references to movies of the 70s and 80s make me smile, and his witty comebacks in the face of danger bring a constant snort of laughter. Lots of action, an interesting mystery, and real psychotic bad guys, this series is a must read. Looking forward to his next adventure!

Off Da Hook!!!!! AMAZING Novel!!!!!

I just finished reading "SIREN'S SONG", and I can't say enough good things about this story. The words which come to mind about this Novel; Amazing, Masterpiece, Excellent, Magnificent, and my personal favorite; Off Da Hook!!!!! I Loved It, I can't wait to see what Kent Holloway has in store for Jack and the Team next.

Originally, I thought that there would be no way for him to top his debut novel; "Primal Thirst", but he managed to pull it off beautifully. This book has lots of action from beginning to end and the characters are genuinely human with positive traits and faults and the creatures are horrifying and well described so much so, that they could be swimming in the water along side of you the next time you go to the beach. So, go ahead and swim, It's just a book or is it? "Wait, what's that? Something just brushed passed my leg under the waterrraarrrrgh!!!!!" (Insert Evil Laugh Here.) LOL!!!!!

Kent's Novels should be made into Big-Budget, Summer Blockbuster, Event Movies.

If the narrator told the story like it was a ghost story, it would have been 10x better. It sounded like a kids book.
