I finally found a book that has talking to the dead AND murder mystery! and J.S. Donovan did a bang up job with both. Probably should have given 4 stars due to editing errors but I feel for those who don't have me as an editor! LOL
Not 100% satisfied, but not all bad either.
I think by the time I got to this last story in this trilogy, it was time to end it. I was just wanting to get through it. It wasn't bad, but it just wasn't quite as good as I thought it might be. Probably my fault, no doubt.
As for a recommendation. If it interests you, then go for it. Just because it didn't quite sit right with me, does not mean it can't be enjoyed by many others. We all have our own little things that we expect or look for. There were some parts of this story that had me quickly turning pages as fast as I could because I had to know what was going to happen. It was the times that left me wanting that I couldn't quite adjust to.
All in all, fairly good. I think I had a bigger problem with one of the main characters than the story it's self.
Seeing
Rachel has the gift of seeing the dead, but it's also a curse. While trying to help fulfill a dead serial killer he can also inflict pain.
I have this book five stars because it really makes you think. How would we be able to deal with talking to the dead? Most of us would scream, faint, or die. I know I would.
If you want a journey to the unknown I suggest you read this book.
Another hit
Another adventure for detective Halloway and Peak. This book is a continuation of book one. The detectives have a cat and mouse game to catch a devious killer before they can catch them. No spoiler alerts so read this one and figure out the mystery. Well worth the read.
Great book
I hope there are more stories coming. This was a great story. Read it in one day, very easy to get into, story line was great. Writing was great, author did a great job with the characters and the entire story. I can't wait to read more from this author. I would recommend this story.
