A Great Start to a Fresh New Paranormal Story
When Coco Rhodes was four years old her parents were killed in relation to The Allegiance. Because of that she has done whatever she can to walk away from them. But an attempt on her life has to talking to her brother trying to figure out what his going on. He tells her to head to Italy where she finds herself in the middle of vampires, warlocks, and her own history.
Coco is going to learn that her life is a lie and that there are bigger thing going on than she initially knows about. The main thing being that The Allegiance has been trying to keep her safe all of these years. This is a huge world that Coco has found herself in and it will quickly get confusing with this cast. I loved the path that her motherâs paintings take her on.
I really enjoyed this story with the paranormal and the wonderful locations. I canât wait to see what happens to Coco next in The Devil and the Muse.

Interesting read
I found this book artistic and interesting, but also disjointed and choppy in theme. Interesting characters, but the story was not fluid, and I had difficulty following.
An entertaining story
This was an entertaining read featuring vampires and magic and paranormal romance. There's a lot of action, too, and a compelling plot. Recommended for fans of the genre.

Elegant and captivating! I could hardly put it down! The beginning was a bit confusing as there was so much back story and characters laid out but this is precisely what made the story so rich and different from other fantasy narratives. Looking forward to the next installment!
Dark and delicious! A definite must read!
As a loyal fan of the vampire genre, I tend to have somewhat high expectations... this book did not disappoint. I found the characters to be intelligent, dark, complex, and at times charmingly vulnerable. I am definitely looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
