Lesson 2 of 19.

In this lesson, the Holy Spirit begins a brief but thorough description of mankind’s attitude concerning God. Basically, despite indisputable proof—beginning with His marvellous creation—they have rejected all possibility of God’s existence.

Lesson 01 of 19.Paul, whom God used to write Romans and 14 of the other 22 epistles, was uniquely chosen and prepared for the work the Almighty had for him. For instance, Paul was a Jew and a Roman citizen by birth. He was raised in a Greek culture and schooled as a Pharisee. As such, he was fully equipped to reveal God’s Word to three of the principle cultures of his day.

Lesson 17 of 17.

In this final chapter, believers are admonished to “. . . go forth, therefore, unto him (that is Jesus) outside the camp, bearing his reproach.”  Yes, we must be willing to bear His reproach. But by belonging to Jesus, we have received unimaginable privileges as well as certain responsibilities.

Lesson 16 of 17.

In this lesson, we are reminded of the fearful judgment that those who reject Jesus must face—and the exceeding grace that is available through Jesus’ sacrifice on Calvary.

Lesson 15 of 17.Of course, the greatest example of faith that we have is Jesus, Who walked the path of obedience and suffering with unwavering faith in His Heavenly Father.

Lesson 14 of 17.

In this lesson, we see a list of those who were willing to pay a great price for their faith: There were Moses’ parents and Moses himself; then there was Joshua and Rahab and other heroes of faith who were willing to face persecution and even death for their belief in God.

In this lesson, we see how Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and Joseph put faith into action.

Lesson 12 of 17.Here we see the superiority of the way of faith over the way of works. We are also given some examples of the Old Testament saints who walked by faith.

Lesson 11 of 17.In the heavenly tabernacle, Jesus’ precious blood put away forever the sins of those who trust Him as their Saviour. So then, if the Jews in the church rejected Jesus’ all-sufficient sacrifice in favour of the Old Testament sacrifices, they would miss God’s only way of salvation.

Lesson 10 of 17.Under Old Testament law, the blood of animals sacrificed in the earthly tabernacle could only cover sin. Clearly, this could only be a temporary solution.
