"Domestic violence and abuse is a major public health problem, due to its affecting more than 2 million women and 800,000 men and resulting in homelessness, injury, or death of victims, billions of dollars in health care costs, and loss of work productivity."

Home is supposed to be a place of peace and rest, but it's sometimes the most dangerous place of all. Women who suffer from domestic violence and abuse need to leave their home and establish a new one. However, do you find peace AFTER relocating?

Physical, sexual, and emotional abuse.  These are just a FEW types of domestic violence that exist.  Regardless of which type of abuse one might experience, the long term effect can be quite destructive.  Getting out is just the beginning, and moving on can be a challenge.  HEALING comes in many forms and is just a prayer away!

Statistics show that as many as one in three victims of domestic violence are male (as young as male high school students).  However, they are often reluctant to report the abuse because they are embarrassed, feel they won't be believed, or are even afraid their partner will seek revenge.  Let's hear from a courageous man who escaped and is willing to tell the tale.
