"Atomic Habits," published in 2018 by James Clear, has sold over 20 million copies worldwide and is translated into more than 60 languages, as noted on [James Clear's official page](https://jamesclear.com/atomic-habits). Clear, a writer and speaker focused on habits, decision-making, and continuous improvement, draws on biology, psychology, and neuroscience to offer actionable strategies. The book emphasizes small, incremental changes, termed "atomic habits," which compound over time to yield significant results, contrasting with goal-oriented approaches by focusing on systems.

This week I have a conversatio0n with Tim Arsenault, an ultra runner who lives with his family in Australia.  Tim happens to be my cousin and it was great to catch up with him and talk about his story and his pursuit of ultra running.  

Thinking about a level of self sufficiency as a part of making a commitment to excellence!

Once a month I evaluate my progress on my goals.  This is how I engage in deliberate practice intended to move me forward to be the best that I can be in every key aspect of life.
