The fastest way to suffer is to believe your judgment is a fact. From a power-off grid corner of Hawai’i, we follow a deceptively simple A Course in Miracles line to its radical conclusion: if nothing but truth exists, then right-minded seeing cannot see anything but perfection. That doesn’t mean pretending personalities are flawless or bodies never get sick. It means learning to separate appearances from reality so we stop turning behaviour into identity, and stop using the world as evidence that love is threatened.
We walk through how distrust works as projection, why phrases like “that’s just the way they are” quietly imprison your perception, and how the miracle is a change in interpretation. We also get practical: what to do when someone is yelling, acting erratic, or making choices you don’t want to join. The key is learning to recognise error as error without making it real, and without making anyone guilty, including yourself.
Along the way we explore the dream and nightmare analogy, the difference between true creation and miscreation, and how willingness softens the ego’s urge to “figure it all out.” When perception is given a new purpose, the same relationships and daily triggers become mirrors for forgiveness and spiritual awakening, and even the body can be used to undo separation rather than prove vulnerability. Subscribe, share this with a friend who’s stuck in judgment, and leave a review with the biggest perception shift you’re practicing right now.

Peace isn’t something we win by getting life to cooperate, cleaning up our personality, or achieving a “higher” spiritual level. We start with a simple guided arrival into the body, then move straight into ACIM Workbook Lesson 230, “Now Will I Seek and Find the Peace of God,” and the big question underneath it: what if forgiveness is not about changing anything at all?
We unpack what forgiveness is not: not manipulating the world, not trying to make the dream behave, and not shaming the self-concept into being “better.” We talk about the separate self as a learned program of thoughts, desires, and private shame, and how compassion and clear awareness loosen the grip of guilt. Along the way we explore why the urge to “right the wrong” can keep problems real, how extending love works in ordinary moments like social judgments at dinner, and why a relaxed nervous system often makes it easier to hear Holy Spirit guidance.
Then we land the lesson’s logic in a phrase you can use all day: “What was given then must be here now.” Peace does not fluctuate, only our awareness does. When you stop demanding that appearances deliver peace, the peace of God becomes practical again, something you can feel and live from even when circumstances stay messy.

Something subtle keeps us stuck: we call it realism, but it’s often just the past running our mind. From Kehenna Beach on the Big Island, I walk through A Course in Miracles, Chapter 3 Section 4, “Innocent Perception”, and we get brutally practical about what it means to see truly when the world looks messy, scary, or outright wrong.
We unpack the line “you never see what does not exist in reality” and why true perception does not require you to deny what your senses report. It asks you to stop letting appearances establish identity. You can notice fear, dishonesty, conflict, even disturbing headlines, without concluding “therefore someone is guilty” or “therefore I am threatened”. That one shift changes how forgiveness feels in the body and how peace becomes accessible in real time.
Then we take on confidence. When I lack confidence in what someone will do, am I actually placing faith in their “pattern” instead of the right mind that remains available now? Confidence here is not naive optimism and it is not a promise you should stay in any arrangement. It is a miracle-based frame of reference that trusts innocence and refuses to imprison anyone, including yourself, in history.

The mind can spin all day with thoughts that feel painfully personal: anger, jealousy, fear, worry, the quiet belief that we’re on our own in a body and time is running out. We slow down with A Course in Miracles Lesson 223 and let one line do its work: “God is my life. I have no life but Him.” When that lands, it doesn’t just sound comforting, it rewrites identity.
We walk through the lesson text and name the central error that fuels the entire ego self-concept: the belief that separation actually happened. If separation is only a mistake, then it was never accomplished, which means you don’t need punishment, pain, or a lifelong fixing project. We also get practical about “no private thoughts,” how to relate to intrusive or shameful thoughts without embarrassment, and how forgiveness becomes a real-time skill: seeing the face of Christ instead of making mistakes into identity.
Then we bring it into everyday life, including family dynamics, addiction stories, and the way worry tries to masquerade as love. We talk about guilt as a feeling that claims you’re unworthy of love and deserving of punishment, and how loneliness is built into the separate-self idea. Finally, we take on special days like birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, and Mother’s Day as perfect triggers for hidden expectations and specialness, and we show how celebration can stay joyful when it stops being a demand for proof.
If you want a clear ACIM-based approach to guilt, specialness, forgiveness practice, and nonduality that still feels human, press play. Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs a lighter mind, and leave a review with the line that hit you hardest.

Selective innocence feels spiritual until it wrecks your peace. Today we take one sharp sentence from A Course in Miracles and use it like a flashlight: innocence becomes wisdom only when it turns into a genuine viewpoint that is universal in its application. Not a slogan you remember when it’s convenient, not a “good person” badge, but a consistent lens that stops making exceptions for the one person, the one issue, or the one mistake you think proves guilt.Â
We walk through why the mind gets erratic when it tries to hold two teachers at once, how guilt shows up as unease in the body’s energy field, and what “two-edged defenses” look like in real time. We keep the levels clear: recognising behaviour and patterns can inform what you do in the world, but it cannot tell you what anyone is. That’s where forgiveness becomes practical instead of performative, and why self-condemnation is not the same as responsibility.Â
Then we apply it where it actually gets hard: broken agreements, political outrage, “victim stories,” and charged topics like COVID rules and human trafficking. We talk about the fear of becoming apathetic, how to stay present with what you feel without pushing people away, and how willingness opens the door to guidance that can be quiet, direct, playful, or surprising.Â
If you want a grounded way to practice innocent perception without denying life, press play. Subscribe, share this with a friend who’s stuck in judgment, and leave a review telling us where your toughest “exception” shows up.

The fastest way to lose peace is to believe an attack thought is protecting you. From Kehenna Beach on the Big Island of Hawaii, we unpack A Course in Miracles Lesson 216 and get painfully honest about the mind’s favorite moves: labeling people, rehearsing their faults, demanding apologies, using cold silence, or turning spiritual ideas into superiority. The headline sounds harsh, “It can be but myself I crucify,” but we keep bringing it back to what it is really for: ending guilt, not creating more of it.
We start by anchoring the lesson where ACIM anchors it: “I am not a body, I am free, for I am still as God created me.” That line keeps the ego from twisting the teaching into personal blame. Then we track the mechanics of suffering: an attack thought never travels outward and leaves the thinker untouched. The cost is immediate, a loss of awareness of peace, and that is why the practice is so usable in real time. We also tease apart a crucial distinction for relationships: you can notice behavior, set a boundary, and change form without condemning identity.
Along the way, we connect attack to the fear of retaliation, the fear of karma, and even the fear of God, showing how a mind that believes in punishment starts expecting punishment everywhere. We close with simple prompts you can use today when an upset hits, plus a live example from the chat that turns “their situation is dangerous” into a gentler, freer perception.

If you’ve ever thought, “I know the truth… so why am I still reacting like this?” this one goes straight to the root. I’m continuing our A Course in Miracles deep dive on Innocent Perception, and we slow way down on a deceptively simple line: “Innocence is also not a partial attribute.” That single idea exposes the ego’s favorite compromise, letting ourselves be “innocent in general” while keeping a private list of exceptions where guilt is still “reasonable.”Â
From there, I unpack the real-world consequences of selective innocence. We look at how judgment forms, why behavior seems erratic when the mind flips between fear and love, and how easily we confuse conduct with identity. I use practical examples like roommate conflict, self-condemnation, political blame, and relationship patterns to show how you can acknowledge mistakes, make changes, and set firm boundaries without turning anyone into “the guilty one.”Â
We also revisit the Course’s idea of right defense: innocence becomes a real defense only when it’s total, because partial innocence leaves the belief in guilt untouched and guarantees it will swing back onto us. If you want accountability without shame, forgiveness without naivety, and discernment without attack, this is a powerful practice session. If you’ve ever caught yourself thinking, “I’ll feel better when this situation changes,” this deep dive offers a clean reversal that’s both confronting and relieving. We sit with A Course in Miracles Lesson 209 and its review of Lesson 189, circling one central practice: “I feel the love of God within me now.” Not as a concept, not as positive thinking, but as an experience that shifts what you believe you are and therefore what you see.Â
We unpack “I am not a body, I am free, for I am still as God created me” as a correction of identity, not a denial of the human level. When we stop using history, roles, emotions, and circumstances as evidence of what we are, freedom shows up as a change in the teacher of perception. That’s where joy comes in: not manufactured, not earned, not dependent on relationships, money, safety, or the perfect day, but inherent as an attribute of love. The key idea becomes practical fast: you will look upon what you feel within, so the world you experience reflects the mind you choose.Â
We also move into the Workbook’s radical simplicity: be still, lay aside every self-image and even your concepts of God, and come with open hands. No demands, no bargaining, no dictating outcomes. Just willingness to let obstacles to love be removed and to let perception be re-taught by forgiveness. If this helps you, subscribe, share the episode with a friend who’s been scanning the world for reasons to be okay, and leave a review with the one line you’re going to practise this week.

“I will be still a moment and go home” sounds poetic, but we treat it as a concrete practice you can use when your mind is spinning, your body feels unsafe, or you’re stuck replaying a conversation. We unpack A Course in Miracles Lesson 202 as a review of Lesson 182, and we place “going home” inside Review Six’s anchor: “I am not a body. I am free, for I am still as God created me.” The shift is radical and practical: home is not a place, a relationship, a future spiritual state, or the world finally feeling like heaven. Home is the recognition that we never left our Source, and stillness is how we stop arguing with that truth.
We walk through the workbook structure for daily spiritual practice: 15 minutes morning and evening, hourly remembrance, and immediate application whenever fear, judgment, grievance, or bodily identification shows up. We also name the real obstacle as “exceptions” the mind protects, like “I’m free except when…” or “I can have peace except while this is unresolved.” Instead of suppression or self-attack, we practice a gentle exchange: “This thought I do not want. I choose instead to be still an instant and go home.”
Along the way we explore forgiveness as our function, the “holy child” as the quiet awareness of innocence within, and defenselessness as strength without making you passive or naive. If you’ve been chasing relief through occupation, denial, or constant fixing, this is an invitation to rest and remember what you are right now. If you’ve ever looked at someone’s behaviour and thought, there’s no light in them, this one will challenge you in the best way. From Kehenna Beach Estates on the Big Island, I walk slowly through A Course in Miracles Chapter 3, Section 4 on innocent perception, focusing on a radical claim: nobody gets through a lifetime without experiencing some light and some of everything. Not hearing about truth, not agreeing with it, but actually touching it, even for an instant.Â
We unpack what “some light” looks like in ordinary life: a moment of peace, a softening of a grievance, the joy of giving without trying to get, a sudden sense of safety that has nothing to do with circumstances. Then we go deeper into “some of everything” as a reflection of wholeness that makes total emptiness impossible. That’s why no mind can deny truth totally, even when it seems to live in fear most of the time. The ego has to keep arguing, defending, and recruiting “proof,” because something in the mind remains unconvinced.Â
From there we get practical: how to recognise patterns of fear without turning them into anyone’s identity, how self-deception props up a self-concept, and why control, judgment, and even activism can become ego strategies for safety. We also talk about “lasting solace” and why quick fixes, distractions, and addiction-like comfort cycles never mature into peace.Â
