  • Lesson 305: There is Peace that Christ Bestows on Us.

    Send Hope a Text

Christ bestows upon us a peace so profound that nothing in the world compares to it—a peace "so deep and quiet, undisturbable and wholly changeless." Unlike the conditional calm we might experience when external circumstances align with our preferences, this peace transcends all worldly understanding and remains eternally still regardless of what appears to be happening around us.

The remarkable truth is that this peace is already present. We don't need to manufacture it or earn it; our only task is to accept it. When suffering arises—and it will as long as we identify with the body—we can recognize it as an opportunity to return to truth. As Hope Johnson explains, we aren't actually capable of suffering; rather, suffering arises in our experience as a result of believing in the thought of separation. When we notice suffering, we can bring those thoughts to the Holy Spirit, recognizing they have no justification or basis in reality.

The ego mind constantly engages in comparisons—better or worse, more or less, safer or more dangerous—but Christ's peace dissolves all comparison because it is whole and complete. This peace doesn't violently attack the world we've made; instead, it "envelops it and gently carries it to the truth." It's a nonviolent healing that undoes fear through love rather than force.

God wills peace for us, and it is our natural state. The only obstacles blocking our awareness of this peace are self-judgment and its projection onto others. When we consent to be released from judgment, we make space to recognize the peace that has always been there. Try beginning each day by feeling this peace in your body, perhaps with the affirmation "There's peace that Christ bestows on me now." Throughout the day, whenever peace seems disturbed, remember there is no actual disturbance—you are dreaming. The peace of Christ cannot be disturbed; it only appears so when we choose to judge.

Ready to experience the unshakable peace that lies beyond all worldly understanding? Join us in this profound exploration of Lesson 305 from A Course in Miracles and discover how to rest in the peace that naturally follows from choosing truth over illusion. Share your experiences with us and let's journey together toward the recognition of the peace that is our inheritance.

  • Lesson 304: Let Not My World Obscure the Sight of Christ.

    Send Hope a Text

Perception creates our reality—yet how often do we question what we see? In Lesson 304 from A Course in Miracles, we explore the profound idea that the world we perceive isn't an objective reality but a mirror reflecting our internal state of mind.

"Perception is a mirror, not a fact," the lesson teaches us. Everything we see is subjective, reflecting our mind's contents rather than revealing objective truth. The world of fear, judgment, and separation we experience isn't happening "out there"—it's a projection from within. When we recognize this, we gain the power to transform our experience not by changing external conditions but by shifting our perception.

The heart of this lesson centers on a crucial choice: will we continue projecting our world of illusions or receive Christ's vision? Christ's vision reveals that all our perceived sins have already been forgiven. Through forgiveness—recognizing that what we thought happened never actually happened—we not only free ourselves but offer a gift to everyone. We remind ourselves and others of our true, powerful nature.

The lesson provides practical guidance for implementing this shift. We can set an intention each morning not to impose judgment on what we see, recognize perception as a mirror throughout the day, and pause whenever we notice negative emotions to ask: "Is this the world I made, or the world Christ would show me?" Through regular meditation and hourly reminders, we experience the contrast between feeling victimized by the world and recognizing our role in creating it.

Ready to see the world through different eyes? Try this practice today and watch how everything transforms when you change not the world, but the mind with which you look upon it.

  • Lesson 303: The Holy Christ is Born in Me Today.

    Send Hope a Text

The eternal truth of who you really are awaits your recognition. Hope Johnson guides us through Lesson 303 from A Course in Miracles, illuminating the profound teaching that "The Holy Christ is born in me today." This isn't about welcoming something foreign or new—it's about revealing what has always been within.

Through gentle guidance, Hope explains how this spiritual birth represents the revelation of our true identity. When we create space for stillness, allowing earthly distractions to fall away, we prepare the perfect conditions for recognizing our authentic self. The lesson draws a powerful distinction between the "evil self" constructed by the ego—built on guilt, fear, and vulnerability—and the Christ-self that remains eternally whole, holy, and invulnerable to harm.

"It is not Christ that can be crucified," the lesson reminds us. Your true nature cannot be harmed, condemned, or diminished in any way. This recognition, experienced in what the Course calls the "holy instant," is the essence of salvation. Hope offers practical guidance for entering this stillness without self-judgment, encouraging us to affirm our true identity whenever ego thoughts arise. The practice becomes a day-long remembrance that we are not the limited, vulnerable self we've believed ourselves to be, but rather the beloved Son of God, eternally safe in divine love.

Take a few moments today to join this beautiful meditation on your true identity. Affirm with Hope: "The Holy Christ is born in me today." Your willingness to remember grows stronger with every attempt.

  • Lesson 302: Where Darkness Was, I Look Upon The Light

    Send Hope a Text

What if the darkness you perceive isn't actually real? Lesson 302 from A Course in Miracles challenges our fundamental understanding of perception with a revolutionary idea: darkness exists only in our imagination, while light is always there for us to see.

The suffering we think we experience isn't actually real—it's a product of forgetting our true identity. This profound lesson reveals that spiritual sight isn't about gaining something new but rather removing the blindness caused by judgment. The holy world—the real world—has been patiently waiting, unchanged, until we're willing to see it.

Through forgiveness, we transform our vision. Christ's vision doesn't erase the world but reinterprets it completely. Fear naturally dissolves in the presence of love, just as darkness vanishes when light appears. To view the world through Christ's eyes is to allow our perception to be healed, turning every apparent shadow into a witness to the light within our mind.

Forgiveness is the key that unlocks Christ's vision. It doesn't make the world holy—rather, it allows us to see the holiness that has always been there, previously obscured by our judgments. When we forgive, we withdraw our projections and finally behold what truly exists: pure innocence.

The light has never left you. It has only been awaiting your willingness to stop imagining it is absent. Begin your day with the resolution not to confuse your own imaginings with God's reality. When darkness seems to appear, recognize it as your own projection rather than objective truth. Choose light instead. In the evening, reflect on moments where perceived darkness became opportunities for forgiveness and seeing only light.

Where darkness was, I now look upon the light. Will you join me in this practice of forgiveness today?

  • Lesson 301: And God Himself Shall Wipe Away All Tears.

    Send Hope a Text

Have you ever considered that your tears might have nothing to do with your circumstances? That your physical pain isn't caused by how you slept last night? That your hangover isn't from alcohol?

Lesson 301 from A Course in Miracles, "And God Himself shall wipe away all tears," offers a radical perspective that turns our understanding of suffering upside down. Through Hope Johnson's gentle guidance, we discover that judgment—not external events—is the root cause of all our sorrow. The lesson states plainly: "Unless I judge, I cannot weep." This simple yet profound insight places the power to end suffering back where it belongs—in our own minds.

When we believe someone has hurt us or that circumstances have caused our pain, we're actually misunderstanding what's happening. We're giving away our power to illusions. As Hope explains, "Pain is not caused by anything in the world, but by judgments we place upon the world." This doesn't mean denying our experiences, but rather seeing them through new eyes—eyes unclouded by judgment.

Forgiveness emerges as the doorway to what the Course calls "God's happy world." Not the conventional forgiveness where we pardon wrongdoing, but a profound shift in perception where we recognize that nothing real has occurred to hurt us. Through forgiveness, we remove "the filters of fear and grievance" and see with "happy eyes."

Perhaps most liberating is the realization that we cannot truly hurt one another. The belief that we can harm or be harmed is part of the illusion. When we release judgment, we discover a world that's "peaceful, kind, radiant" and where "there's nothing that can hurt me."

Ready to practice this transformative teaching? Start by catching yourself in judgment, recognizing it as the source of your pain, and choosing to let it go. Watch as joy naturally takes its place. Your tears will be forgotten, for their source is gone.

  • Clarification #9: What Is The Second Coming? Introduction to Lessons 301-310

    Send Hope a Text

What if the Second Coming isn't what you've been taught? Rather than a dramatic external event, A Course in Miracles reveals it as "merely the correction of mistakes and the return of sanity" – a profound shift in perception that's happening right now through forgiveness.

The revolutionary teaching explored in this episode dismantles our conventional understanding of Christ's return. The Second Coming isn't something we passively await – it actively requires our participation. "It needs your eyes and ears, and hands and feet. It needs your voice and, most of all, it needs your willingness," the Course tells us. This willingness manifests as forgiveness without exception or reservation, embracing all living things equally regardless of their apparent roles or actions.

When we choose forgiveness, we collapse time itself. The Course describes the Second Coming as "the one event in time which time itself cannot affect," simultaneously releasing all souls – past, present, and future – from the illusions we've created. Every act of forgiveness hastens this inevitable process. Every refusal to exclude anyone from love is the Second Coming happening through us. As we dedicate ourselves to this practice, we participate in "the reestablishment of truth, the reestablishment of oneness" that is our ultimate destiny.

Whether you're new to A Course in Miracles or a longtime student, this clarification of Lessons 301-310 offers profound insights to transform your spiritual practice. Join me in exploring how to actively participate in the Second Coming through daily forgiveness work. Listen now and discover your essential role in the awakening of Christ consciousness within.

  • A Course in Miracles Deep Dive - Chapter 2, Section XI, Paragraph 6, Sentence 2 through Paragraph 8, Sentence 5: Birth Trauma or Separation Trauma

    Send Hope a Text

What if everything we've learned about psychology and fear has been missing the essential truth? In this transformative ACIM Deep Dive, we venture into Chapter 2, Section 11, where Jesus directly addresses Freudian psychology—acknowledging its insights while revealing where it fundamentally missed the mark.

The conversation opens a revolutionary perspective on fear and healing. While Freud correctly identified mechanisms that protect consciousness from fear, he mistakenly believed these psychological compartments were necessary. Jesus reveals a more liberating truth: "It is essential not to control the fearful, but to eliminate it." This single insight transforms our approach to anxiety, trauma, and psychological healing.

We explore Otto Rank's concept of "birth trauma" and discover that physical birth itself is not traumatic—the real trauma is the mind's belief in separation from God, an event that never actually occurred. This revelation shifts everything, showing that fear originates not from life events but from a mistaken belief that can be completely undone.

The session takes a fascinating turn when examining Rank's "will therapy," which Jesus calls "potentially very powerful" but limited because it didn't extend to "its proper union with God's will." This leads to a profound exploration of the "deprivation fallacy"—the belief that another's success diminishes our own—which underlies all competition and defense.

Throughout our exploration, practical examples bring these concepts to life: from childbirth experiences transformed by mind-training to everyday fears seen through new eyes. Listeners will gain fresh insight into how we project our unconscious fears onto the world and how, with gentle patience, the Holy Spirit helps us bring these shadows to light for healing.

Ready to see beyond traditional psychology to miracle mindedness? This episode offers a roadmap for tracing all fear back to its source, where it can be completely undone rather than merely managed. Join us for this journey beyond the ego's protective mechanisms into the freedom of a mind unified in love.

  • Lesson 300: Only an Instant Does this World Endure.

    Send Hope a Text

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you truly accepted that nothing in this world lasts? Lesson 300 from A Course in Miracles offers a transformative perspective on impermanence that turns what seems like tragedy into liberation.

The fleeting nature of our world presents a fascinating paradox. From one angle, it appears devastating—joys fade quickly, sorrows lurk around corners, and mortality seems inescapable. Yet this same impermanence becomes our pathway to freedom when we shift our perception. As the lesson beautifully states, recognizing that "only an instant does this world endure" loosens fear's grip on our minds and leads to profound serenity.

This understanding transforms how we navigate relationships and daily interactions. We no longer need to cling desperately to what's passing or push away what's uncomfortable. Instead, we can allow experiences to flow through our lives like clouds across an unchanging sky. The lesson specifically addresses how we can release ourselves from the ego's games of approval-seeking and manipulation. These patterns merely represent attempts to make permanent what is inherently temporary. Through forgiveness—recognizing that "what I thought happened didn't happen"—we access the holy world that exists beyond time's illusions. Our true identity isn't found in changing forms but in the unchanging love that is our eternal essence.

Ready to experience the liberation that comes with recognizing the temporary nature of our world? Practice seeing challenges as passing clouds rather than the sky itself. Take time to reflect on what you've been treating as permanent that's actually fleeting. Your journey to serenity begins with this simple yet profound recognition: everything here passes quickly, revealing the eternal peace that has always been yours.

  • Lesson 299: Eternal Holiness Abides in Me

    Send Hope a Text

What if your divine nature remains completely untouched by anything you think you've done wrong? This profound episode explores Lesson 299 from A Course in Miracles: "Eternal holiness abides in me."

Hope Johnson guides us through a radical reframing of holiness—not as something we achieve through spiritual practice, but as our unchangeable inheritance that remains perfect regardless of our perceived mistakes. This holiness isn't a self-made virtue but a fact of creation anchored in God's will, which we share with Him.

The episode challenges us to recognize that our irritation with others stems not from their behavior but from our perceived separation from them. When we glimpse our true nature, we must see it in everyone. This recognition becomes the foundation for all healing, as we understand that what God created cannot be violated—illusions may obscure our holiness but can never alter or destroy it.

Hope offers practical guidance for incorporating this awareness into daily life. Begin your day acknowledging that your holiness is God's gift to you, letting this dissolve self-judgment. When conflict or fear arises, remind yourself, "This cannot touch me. I am the holiness that God created." This pivot of awareness from illusion to truth transforms our experience.

By recognizing our eternal holiness, we come to know our source. This collapses the distance between ourselves and God, between ourselves and our brothers. Join Hope in this beautiful meditation on true dignity—not of the ego, but of our divine origin. To be holy is simply to be as God created us: not limited by the body, but eternally free.

  • Lesson 298: I Love You Father And I Love Your Son.

    Send Hope a Text

Gratitude unlocks the door to love without fear. In this profound exploration of Lesson 298 from A Course in Miracles, we discover how thanksgiving becomes the bridge that carries us from separation to recognition of our eternal reality.

Have you noticed how defensiveness creates barriers against the very love you seek? This lesson reveals that when we approach life with gratitude, those defenses naturally soften. The love we've been searching for isn't something we need to manufacture or find elsewhere—it's already present, simply waiting for us to clear our vision through forgiveness and open our hearts through gratitude.

We contrast the "senseless journeys, mad careers and artificial values" that have consumed so much of our energy with the simplicity of resting in love's presence. The ego uses nostalgia as a clever tool to keep us longing for past experiences that never truly satisfied us. Yet when we release our attachment to specific forms and recognize that "nothing in the field can satisfy," we discover something remarkable—we are the joy we've been seeking. As appearances come and go, we can remain grounded in the eternal current of love that flows between Creator and creation.

The practice is beautifully simple: notice three things daily that reveal divine presence in your life, feel grateful for them, and whenever fear or irritation arise, choose gratitude instead. Through this practice, we discover that "forgiveness removes obstacles, gratitude opens the heart," creating the perfect conditions for love to shine through unobstructed. Join us in this transformative remembrance that "every act of love remained eternal" while all our false pursuits ultimately end in nothing.
