Jenny Maria begins this ACIM Satsang with a music meditation and beautiful reflection on the healing power and presence of the Holy Spirit. Patience arises from the inner knowing of God’s love and the assurance of a peaceful outcome. Faithfulness calls us to bring every seeming problem—without exception—into the light of Spirit, knowing that there, all things will be set right.

Open-mindedness invites us to the complete release of judgment and to embrace a state of unconditional acceptance. Here the mind revels in the spaciousness of God’s presence. As Jesus says "Open-mindedness comes with lack of judgment. As judgment shuts the mind against God’s Teacher, so open-mindedness invites Him to come in.” (M-4.X.1:2-3)

This meditative session ends with an exploration of Lesson 362 "This holy instant would I give to You. Be You in charge. For I would follow You, certain that Your direction gives me peace.” This beautiful prayer encourages us to surrender all aspects of life, all decisions, all judgments, all control—everything, to Spirit’s guidance.

Forgiveness is the doorway to peace and happiness. It’s not about being “right” or proving anything—it’s about letting go of the need to control, judge, and holding on to grievances. When we forgive, we open ourselves to a peaceful state of mind, guided by love instead of fear. When feeling upset or confused the key is to acknowledge those feelings, allow them, and through sincere trust and full acceptance of the feelings, there is release.

In stepping back and allowing Spirit to guide us, we find the peace and joy we’ve always longed for. This isn’t about giving up or sacrificing anything but about recognising that our will is one with God’s. Our task is simple: to be willing, even just a little, to let go of fear and open our hearts to the truth that we are already safe, loved, and whole.

1.⁠ ⁠In "I choose the second place to gain the first" I surrender personal control to align with divine Will, which leads to true fulfilment.
Autonomy and striving for separation bring suffering, but aligning with God's Will brings peace and recognition of Unity.

2.⁠ ⁠Forgiveness is the key to happiness and the way to release judgment and control. It allows for inner peace and connection with truth.
Unforgiveness involves judgment and distortion, while forgiveness embraces stillness, openness, and acceptance.

3.⁠ ⁠Spiritual awakening is the release of self-concepts and judgments that reinforce identity with the small self.
The ego defends its constructs - leading to suffering. Forgiveness transcends those defenses - leading to peace. 

4.⁠ ⁠The body is neutral—neither sinful nor sinless. This perspective encourages shifting focus from physical concerns to the spiritual Presence and being.

This ACIM Satsang with Jenny Maria touches upon so many themes on our journey with A Course in Miracles: spiritual awakening, choice, healing, forgiveness and guidance. Jenny emphasises that all healing and transformation happen within our own mind, not in the external world. External people and situations are reflections of our inner state, and true healing comes from facing the unreal root of fear and guilt within the mind.

Yet if you are the dreamer, you perceive this much at least: that you have caused the dream, and can accept another dream as well. But for this change in content of the dream, it must be realized that it is you who dreamed the dreaming that you do not like”.

Barret gently exposes the belief that the path is hard, as another ego tactic. The idea that ‘it will be difficult’ is used by the ego to keep you from taking any steps at all. The ego clings to this belief, whispering that awakening is a hard fought battle rather than a safe unfolding plan, that we gradually awaken into.

In this ACIM Satsang Barret also speaks about the prayer from A Course in Miracles - "I do not know the thing I am, and therefore do not know what I am doing, where I am, or how to look upon the world or on myself." This prayer is an invitation to accept humility and give up the "I know" mind. It asks us to step beyond our self-concepts into the vast and spacious truth of what you are. To the ego, this ‘loss of self’ may feel frightening, but to the Spirit, this is true liberation.
