August 16, 2023Ya Wa Hoo On the right, Mr. Hung Wo kneels and receives the gift of salvation after three years of listening and watching the people who professed there was a God. Mr. Wo says that he saw God living in the lives of the church people, and despite being involved most of his life in politics, he is now seeking the Lord! Pastor Hoo prays with Mrs. Shoo Hong as told in the podcast episode. During the Covid quarantine Pastor Hoo and the church brought this family groceries. It opened a door to share the gospel. This story was not recorded in the episode. Pastor Hoo prays on the right with a man we shall call Mr. Soh. He is an unbeliever, but he became unemployed and he and his wife had to move in with his in-laws in a very small room. His in-laws go to Pastor Hoo’s church, and they introduced Mr. Soh to this national preacher. Mr. Soh also testified that it was the actions and words of the Christians that changed his mind about a living and a saving God. This photo was taken when he prayed for salvation. July 30, 2023Many Cultures — One Savior This is Pastor Damiani Mongo and his family, posing for a photo with Gospelink field director, Willie Hunter. The suit and the tie shows that Pastor Mongo identifies more with a Christian culture than with a historic tradition of superstition and spirit worship. God’s Word is good for any culture! One of the churches planted by Damiani Mongo in a rural are of the Masai people. Damiani Mongo does not dress in the traditional style, but he speaks their language and knows their culture and customs. He is a natural evangelist and church planter in this part of Tanzania. July 15, 2023The Woodcutter Pastor Yun Meak, his wife, and his two daughters. Behind them is their house - a simple abode, culturally off the ground, but sufficient. Yun Meak lives in an area where people make a living gathering and selling firewood. It’s a skill with which he was able to feed his family! This is one of the churches that Yun Meak pastors in Cambodia. Yun Meak has opportunities in Cambodia to visit schools and teach God’s Word!
