304. A Curious Cave: a calming meditation and children’s tale

Daisy the beagle leads her friends to the curious cave in the forest, unaware that some kids are following. Will Daisy and the other dogs be able to keep the Dragon undiscovered?

A Curious Cave Excerpt:

Daisy jumped up, placed her paws on the windowsill and watched for her friend. Sunny the Golden retriever was usually out for his walk about now. The little beagle had so much to share with her friend. Daisy had already shared the story with Clementine, the basset hound, about the dragon smelling of oranges, roses and vanilla. Clementine had also noticed the scent on the breeze from the forest and wondered what it was. The dogs planned to meet this afternoon. Daisy felt excited to show Clementine the friendly dragon’s cave. She wanted to invite Sunny too.  Daisy felt sure Sunny would like to join them on their adventure. Daisy sniffed the breeze and knew the happy golden retriever was on his way.  Daisy howled and hopped away from the windowsill, asking to go outside.  The door opened, and Daisy ran outside. The little beagle, tail wagging quickly, ran to the edge of the yard and waited for Sunny.

The golden retriever saw the little beagle and picked up his pace, eager to meet his friend. Sunny’s person paused to let the two friends greet each other. Daisy quickly shared the plan with Sunny and the golden retriever agreed to meet them in the afternoon. Daisy howled so happily she pulled herself up off of her front paws. Sunny left to finish his walk. His tail wagged quickly at the thought of the afternoon’s adventure.
