Today we’ll jump right back into our verse by verse study through the gospel of Matthew. Summer is officially here, and there are signs we look for that tell us it is here, like warmer weather. There are also signs we should be aware of that tell us we are living in the last days before the return of Christ. Do you know what they are? Jesus tells us in Matthew twenty-four to know the signs and be prepared.

On today’s program, we’ll begin a study based on the book of First Thessalonians. I’m sure you can recall a time in your life when you needed a little encouragement, and a friend or family member was right there to deliver those perfect words at the perfect time. That’s exactly Paul’s purpose for writing his first letter to the church in Thessalonica. He had several goals in mind and encouragement was on the list as we’ll see today. We’ll begin at the beginning, as we look at the first several verses of chapter one.

We’ll be finishing up Colossians, with the apostle Paul’s closing comments. In the final few verses of the epistle Paul mentions several people that worked alongside of him. As you look back a few years to when we were going through Covid, perhaps you’ve learned a few things about what’s really important in life. One thing many of us have discovered is how important it is that we’re together! We need to be with others, and God intended it to be that way. Has this thought crossed your mind in recent years… “We’re getting close to the end?” What does the Bible have to say about the time of the end?
