We have more laws than we can count in this land of ours, which serve to help maintain law and order. And we need that. As God prepared Moses and the people of Israel to receive the Ten commandments, He also sought to remind them of His love and His Holiness. Like a good parent, God wanted to make sure that they knew He was laying down the law so to speak, because He loved them so much. It would also point out our desperate need for a Redeemer.

As we make our way over to Exodus chapter 15, remember the Lord has just brought His people out of Egypt and bondage. He used a series of 10 plagues to make it happen. These 2-3 million people are now on the move, and you’d think they had forgotten what God had just done at this point in time. They are greatly upset about a bitter water situation and ended up turning bitter themselves! Pastor John Randall says this can easily happen to us too, if we start to take matters into our own hands instead of trusting God.
