We all know that a healthy marriage is one that grows over time. Imagine being married to someone for 50 years and the relationship never progressed beyond the infancy stage! Or worse yet, went backwards. That would be tragic. In Hebrews chapter five we’ll see how that happens to people in their relationship with God. Too few are where they should be in relation to their spiritual age.

Pastor John will be drawing our attention to the traits and qualifications of the High Priest. It’s interesting to note that Jesus meets each and every one of them… perfectly! And so He is uniquely qualified to be our Great High Priest.

As you read your Old Testament you discover Israel had many high priests and they would serve an important role. But as we’ll learn today on a Daily Walk, Jesus is far superior to the Levitical Priesthood! We’ll give you several reasons why as we get back into our new study of Hebrews with pastor John Randall.

The high priesthood in the Old Testament was designed in part to give us a sense that God is concerned with us having representation. But the best they could do is point us to the Lord. You and I have a sin problem and because of that we need representation before God. Everything about the priesthood, as we’ll see today, symbolized the solution God had in mind all along. Today our teacher pastor John Randall shows us why Jesus is superior to the levitical priesthood, and what makes Him our great high priest!

Maybe like many you have trouble getting a good night’s rest. Perhaps it’s due to drinking too much coffee late in the day, or you’re stressed out! There are some things that can get in the way of our sleep, and there are also some hindrances to entering into the rest of the Lord and being at peace. We’ll talk about that today on a Daily Walk.

Today pastor John Randall will conclude his verse by verse study through Matthew. If you’ve been with us for every broadcast, you have studied in depth the greatest life ever led - that of the Lord Jesus Christ. And of course, the story has a happy ending because there is no ending - He rose from the grave and is preparing a place for you and me in Heaven!

Spiritual rest is what we desperately need, and it’s what God alone can supply! So many are trying to find it in man-made substitutes, but they’re coming up empty. Today on a Daily Walk we’ll notice that the Lord wants us to be at rest in Him and He’s provided a finished salvation to make that possible. The plan is to cover Hebrews chapter four today with pastor John Randall.

If you’ve ever swam in the ocean you know how easy it is to drift and not even realize it’s happening. Before you know it, you look to the shore and your towel and chair are nowhere to be seen. This can also happen to us spiritually as we’ll see today on a Daily Walk. As we get back into Hebrews we’ll hear of those who were drifting back into the rituals of Judaism. While that may not be your personal struggle, many today are drifting back to the old life or the world’s system. Pastor John Randall’s message is based in Hebrews chapter three.

There are certainly some wonderful Christian leaders in our day. And if their heart is in the right place they would be the first to tell you that the ministry is not about themselves, but rather all about Christ. Jesus is far superior to anyone and anything, and the book of Hebrews makes that abundantly clear. Today on a Daily Walk, we make our way into Hebrews chapter 3, where the writer explains how Jesus is greater than Moses in His accomplishments and in His position with God.
