False teachers are certainly prevalent today as they were in Jesus’ day. Christ warns us that these false prophets are ravenous wolves in sheep’s clothing. That should serve as a wake-up call to every believer to learn to tell the difference from a true man of God and a ravenous wolf. Today we’ll discover that to learn a man’s intent, you need look no further than his life, and the fruit he bears.

As some of you know, we’re going through the gospel of John right now, and today we’ll stop to have dinner with Jesus. In chapter twelve Mary pours a very expensive perfume on the feet of Jesus. While some would view this as a waste, Jesus saw it for what it truly was worship!

If we were to look back at our lives, we could see peaks and valleys all over the place. Who could forget those good times like, our wedding day, graduation from High School or College, or getting that job we really longed for. Then there are the unforgettable valleys... the death of a loved one, economic hardship, divorce, or dealing with a rebellious child. We all experience hard times, but as Christians there is someone we can turn to for comfort and help! Many of us have had loved ones who have become sick and subsequently died. The grief that follows can be overwhelming to us. But we serve a God who understands, cares for us, and even has power over death. What is God like and how should we treat those in sin?
