In this episode we discuss Please Don’t Feed the Children, a post-apocalyptic horror film that dares to ask: “What if The Road had no budget, no plot, and way too many eyeliner pencils?” Set in a world where a virus kills all (or at least some of) the adults, this film follows a group of orphans as they try to learn how to coexist... or not. There are jump scares with all the impact of a wet sock, a very traumatized woman who has a shotgun sometimes, and occasionally opens a door while holding it. Also, haunted house rules apply: don’t go into the attic. Or maybe do. Who cares?

In this film due process takes a backseat to a sunburn and the First Amendment gets waterboarded. It’s like someone handed the current administration a camera and said, “Do Survivor, but make it fascist.” Equal parts political horror show and DIY dystopia, this one’s a brutal reminder that when the state plays judge, jury, and nutritional coach… nobody wins but the desert. Tense, raw, and way too relevant, it’s not so much a movie as it is an endurance test in rage and dehydration.
