Hello folks. I’m looking forward to this Sunday in many ways, not the least of which is that Judi will be taking the Talky Bit. Here’s what she has to say about her exploration of motherhood. It sounds to me like it’ll be worth tuning in whether you’re a mom or not. As follows:
On Mother’s Day I’ll be talking about motherhood. Surprise, eh? More specifically, I’m looking at motherhood from the vantage point of a daughter, a societal observer, and as a mom. And doing that through the lens of a reinterpretation of a Jesus-quote. I think most people will find it relatable, because while we’re not all mothers, we all have relationships and expectations; and I think what I have learned is quite transferable (maybe even transformative? We’ll see). ~ Judi
Kids Table – keep your eyes on The Table Facebook page here for the weekly post of a theme for the young ones to explore. Last week’s gallery of butterflies sure made me smile, and took spring, hope and joy up a notch. Thanks to our Kids Table team, and to our youngest explorers (and their inspiring parents and families) for their beautiful contributions to our shared experiences.
Gathering – tune in to the Facebook page at 10:45 a.m. for live streamed music and community time, followed by Judi’s Talky Bit. That usually starts around 11:15, and it’s available after the fact, but if you want to be there for it live and you miss the music / community time, you might want to check in around 11:00. Sometimes it starts early. (I thought that was worth mentioning because “starts early” and “The Table” are not usually found in proximity to one another.)
I look forward to our virtual getting together, and even more to our actual doing so at some future point. We’ll keep you posted on that.
Peace to you all. I’ll see you Sunday.
