I'm reading an incredible book titled Take The Stairs by Rory Vaden in which the main theme is Self-Discipline. Self-Discipline is a prerequisite to becoming a successful person. I am disciplined, but recently I've noticed some flaws that I have, that I want resolved in this area. Rory Vaden's books have changed my life & mindset regarding this topic, and I wanted to share my thoughts with you. Enjoy!

God has created His children to shine on the earth. We were not created to be pitied by the world, and for people to feel sorry for us.. we were created to be envied by the world. People should respect us because of what the blessing of God has produced in our lives, regardless of whether they believe in our God or not. Be encouraged by this episode to be the best; the head and not the tail, above and not beneath!

An encounter with God will change everything about your life...But what happens after the meeting is over and you have to go back to school? Or go back to work? How do you sustain an encounter with God and keep your fire burning? I'm not an expert on anything by any means, but I can testify of my own experience! Because my fire is still burning for God, more than ever before, and this is how! Tune in!

I wouldn't be the person I am if it wasn't for the Anointing of God! The Anointing is God's tangible presence and power. It is not an optional add-on to Christianity... it is a necessity! In the Garden of Eden, everything was perfect; all of that other stuff came as a result of sin... and we are still experiencing the consequences of sin to this day. Being born into a rich family has its perks, just like having the God of the Bible as your Heavenly Father has its perks. Jesus said in Matthew 4:4 "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God." He also said in John 6:63 that "the words I have spoken to you -- they are full of the Spirit and life.". Until we understand our literal dependency on the Word of God, we will never prioritize it properly in our lives. I've recently had this revelation afresh, and my prayer is that as you listen to this podcast, you will too.
