See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Being circumspect means you're aware of things. Like, what's coming at you; so you can behave appropriately.

The guidance of the Holy Spirit is so deeply needed, because He helps us discern and understand who we should bring into our lives, how close we should let them, and what we should listen to from them. And, it's just it's a reality we need to be prepared for. So a big part of what this podcast is about is revealing God's Word; but, also preparing us to live the Christian life and glorify God.

For 10 days, about 120 people were gathered together in one accord in prayer and supplication; awaiting to receive the promise of the Holy Spirit. The timeline for this promise was given by the Lord, to the children of Israel while they were in the wilderness. The Lord is not slack in fulfilling His promises; He is a God of details, and each detail must come to pass at the appropriate time. The time of His choosing, not ours. We must be obedient to His instructions and prepare ourselves.

We were discussing how the disciples now apostles had to actually go and carry out or execute the instructions that the Lord had given them. The first one was to go and wait for the promise in the city of Jerusalem to receive power from on high; which is the Holy Spirit. They had to complete their role in excellence, just as we must complete everything the Lord asks us to do in excellence, for His glory and that the Father will be delighted in us.

What the Lord desires, is for each of us to pursue, actually come into, a relationship with Him. Knowing Him; His thoughts, His character, nature, and attributes pertaining to all things. Thinking about and applying those things in every aspect of our life.

The apostles were men, they were humans, just like us. They also had a nature that had to be brought into submission to our Lord and Savior; and a choice a decision had to be made to go forth and carry out His will over their own. Our role as followers of Christ is to be aligned to Him, and His will, and what He's doing. And that is bringing His Kingdom down to earth and preparing it. So we, those that are doing His will, can re-enter the Heavenly Community.

As we studied the Lord's House we discovered He's a God of detail, no detail escapes Him. He's not left out anything, but it is all for a purpose. We have given a role to accomplish everything that He is doing, and to come into alignment with his plan. This study on the book of Acts is the transition from studying about the Lord's House to now more aptly looking at our role in building the Lord's House. It's a House not made by human hands. And, we will bring it out as we go through this book, how the apostles were doing something that had not been done before. They were establishing the first church; which is a significant undertaking considering the conditions they found themselves in. However, they were just given the example, in Christ, of how the work was to be done.

The only way you can be out of sin is to be in the Lord; because, we are the righteousness in Christ Jesus. His blood washed us white as snow, as a propitiation or a covering for us. Not a covering to continue in sin and iniquity. No, but it washed all our sin, and iniquity, and transgressions away; so we are righteous before Him. That being said, we must continue to focus on the Lord, not turning to the right or to the left; but to remain focused on the Lord. When we do this it becomes extremely difficult to sin. It's when we look right or left, when we shift our focus off of the Lord, that sin can creep in because you've given the enemy a foothold. I'm bringing that up so we can be aware of what's going on in our lives. It's okay, honestly to rightfully examine ourselves, not giving ourselves grace to practice or continuing wickedness; but to uproot that from our lives. And in doing so, not quenching the Lord and His Holy Spirit.

Morning Bible Study

It's important that you have the understanding and the truth within yourself from the Word of God. It's in your spirit; it's written on your heart, that God has a plan for you and the plan and the path that he wants you to take. That's what's good. You don't need to add what anybody else is doing or saying. You don't need to add any other opinions. If someone's speaking by the Spirit of the Lord, to you, as directed by that the Holy Spirit will make that known to you. Jesus has to be the focus. He just does because He is the one who will never fail. He is the only One who always and only ever tells the truth; and always and only ever has the right motive in what He does and says.
