You fast in order to abstain from things that slow you down in your work with the spirit. Don’t wait for the day you’ll solve all your problems before you start seeking God, because such a day doesn’t exist.

If you’re not growing, you’re stagnant. The more we pray, the more we grow and line up with the nature/will of God for us. You have to come to the realization that it’s what the spirit wants that matters, and not what you want.

Your life should be a journey to becoming the image of Christ. Separate yourself from whatever is hindering you from becoming more like Christ. Ask the Holy Spirit to set your heart on fire form Him.
