Can you imagine what it would be like to have dinner with Jesus? It’s hard to imagine. And yet, that’s exactly what Jesus wants to do with us. He wants to sit down and chew things over and for us to get to know Him and Him us. It’s difficult to imagine, isn’t it?! Join Berni, as he takes a look at life-from a different perspective.

The reason that so many people spend so much time, I guess running and hiding from God, is this sense that they’re not worthy. They’re not good enough. They feel they need to clean up their act before they go to God. And since they never manage to do that, well ?. But what if that’s not true. What if Jesus doesn’t want you to clean up your act first? Hmm?? Join Berni, as he takes a look at life ? from a different perspective.

Of the 2.2 billion Christians alive on planet earth today, sadly the majority are so focused on the here and now, they struggle even to imagine that they could have an intimate, powerful, life-changing, personal relationship with Jesus. So many people believe in Jesus, in fact the stats tell us that fully 2.2 billion people on planet earth today would call themselves Christians. But by far the majority of those have what could best be described as a lukewarm relationship with Jesus. Now ? we might think that’s better than nothing. Question is - what does Jesus think?

Friends by and large are fantastic. It’s great to have some good friends. But ?. Here’s a question. What sort of a friend are you? I mean ? are you the sort of friend that people are dying to discover? Or are you the sort of 'friend' in inverted commas ? who people would run a million miles from? Well? Jesus did some amazing things. One of the things He did was to call together a rag?tag little band of 12 disciples to be His closest friends. In fact His relationship with them ? when you think about it, is quite surprising in many ways. But if He hadn’t drawn together those friends, there’s every chance that you and I wouldn’t be sitting here talking about Jesus today. Jesus had some pretty inconvenient things to say. One of them was this: that we should be prepared to lay down our lives for our friends. These days I’m sure, someone would suggest He needs a PR consultant to put a better spin on this. But ? I’m not so sure that that’s what Jesus had in mind.
