What happens to people’s stuff when they die? That’s the question at the beginning of Adam Minter’s new book, Secondhand: Travels in the New Global Garage Sale. Today on the show, Adam joins us for a deep dumpster dive into the world of stuff and the multi-million-dollar “trash economy.”

Adam Minter is an opinion columnist at Bloomberg and the author of two books, Junkyard Planet: Travels in the Billion-Dollar Trash Trade (Bloomsbury, 2013) and the newly-released Secondhand: Travels in the New Global Garage Sale (Bloomsbury, 2019).
