I know Spurgeon isn't technically a Puritan, but I am sure the Puritans wouldn't mind if we include him. His sermons are just too good and I am enjoying reading through them. In this message he helps us meditate on what it means to be loved by Jesus. 

Burroughs wants to help us spot earthly-mindedness. He describes 5 things that can be true of a man and he is still earthly minded. 

I know Spurgeon isn't technically a Puritan, but I am enjoying his sermons too much to stop! Here he preaches on Galatians 2:20. This sermon is titled, Christ First, Me Last, Nothing Between but Love. What a message!

A godly man does not indulge in any sin. Wow. Thomas Watson motivates us to fight sin to the death. He helps us think about what it means to indulge in sin and why it is so dangerous. 

Is all this talk about the danger of earthly-mindedness overkill? We need all this explanation and warning because this is one of those sins that is so common and is the problem for so many people who say they are Christians. 

I know Spurgeon isn't technically a Puritan. But the Puritans would have loved Spurgeon, I am sure and this message on forgiveness is an absolute must listen. Here he applies the difference being forgiven by God should make on our relationships with one another. 

A godly man loves believers. How can we grow in our love for other Christians? It's so sad how little people seem to love others right now. Do unbelievers wonder at the way we love each other? Watson helps us think more carefully about growing in love.
