Today I talk about a common fake news tactic known as the “non-story,” or “nontroversy.” This is when the media takes an issue that is not a real issue and pretends it’s something you should be concerned about. Today we look at several examples of this from the past few months, leading up to the biggest non-story circulating in the news right now: the January 6 conspiracy theory.
