A new friend came to my home this week. As we walked around the yard, she kept pointing out things she loved.

The trees. The charm. The little details I hardly notice anymore.

The funny thing about living somewhere for a long time is that you stop seeing it. What once felt special becomes familiar. What once felt magical becomes ordinary.

And as she spoke, something shifted in me. I began seeing my home through her eyes.

Not through the lens of what needs fixing.Not through the lens of what might come next.Not through the lens of comparison.

But through appreciation.

And it made me wonder:

How often do we stop seeing the beauty that’s already here simply because we’ve been looking at it from the same angle for too long?

Lately I’ve been paying attention to the subtle ways scarcity still shows up in my life. Not necessarily around money. But in the feeling that something needs to be different before I can fully relax.

Before I can fully appreciate what’s here. Before I can feel complete.

Yet sitting with this experience, I realized something. The beauty hadn’t disappeared. I had simply stopped noticing it. And perhaps that happens in more places than we realize.

Our homes. Our relationships. Our gifts. Our lives.

Sometimes what we need isn’t a new life. Sometimes we need a fresh pair of eyes.

One of the phrases that has been following me lately arrived while I was sitting on my red bench before a morning walk:

“Gratitude is a receptor.”

I didn’t fully understand it at first. But the more I sat with it, the more I felt it. When gratitude moves beyond a thought and becomes a feeling in the body, something opens.

The heart softens. The nervous system relaxes. The body begins to feel safe. And from that place, we become available to receive.

New ideas. New possibilities. New perspectives. New moments of joy. Not because life suddenly changes. But because we become present enough to notice what is already here.

That is what this week’s podcast episode explores.

A simple story. A perspective shift.

And a reminder that perhaps there is more beauty, abundance, and possibility surrounding us than we’ve been able to see.

I’ve been feeling deeply called to dive into the question: What does awakening really mean?

What does it mean to truly wake up in our lives? It’s a journey that calls to us in unique ways—through the challenges we face, the quiet moments of self-reflection, and the times we question our own path.

So, what does awakening look like? For some, it’s a shift from the familiar routine to something that feels aligned with their heart. For others, it’s the experience of loss or unexpected life events that push us to see life through a new lens. However it unfolds, awakening is deeply personal and beautifully unique. It’s a process of rediscovering and celebrating our true selves.

In moments of reflection, we reconnect with our essence—our true nature. We’re reminded that we are part of a cycle, just like the seasons. Awakening means embracing the highs, the lows, and the inner callings that make us who we are. It’s about honoring our uniqueness, learning to listen, and trusting the music within.

No matter where you are in your journey, know that you’re not alone. Many of us are waking up to our own truths, unlearning what no longer serves us, and leaning into what feels real. I’m grateful to be on this journey with you, and I hope today’s message reminds you of the beauty of your own path.

In today’s podcast episode, we’re exploring what it means to heal your inner child and why now is the time to feed your creative soul.

Are you feeling it? The change and big transformations going on in your life?

When we go through this amount of change, it can make life feel pretty serious. Heavy even. In the midst of great change, it’s good to laugh more, breath deeply and connect with like-hearted people so you can lighten your load.

This month is going so fast - action packed for so many. It’s an important time to take more pauses and notice what needs your attention in your life right now.

You are not alone, even though it feels like it sometimes.

Your path is a winding road, and it’s hard when we don’t know where it’s taking us. That’s also the adventure of life. This adventure is calling us to heal, learn, grow and evolve. It’s waking us up so we can remember and reconnect with our authentic essence - our truest nature.

You are on a sacred self-discovery journey of waking up.

It’s ok that it feels messy, confusing, unknown and even out of control.

We are learning the art of surrender, letting go and allowing our path to unfold. Not super easy, but with a perspective shift we can face life’s challenges with greater curiosity, wonder and an openness. This helps us experience a sense of ease and grace as we navigate change. That is the practice of receiving and allowing.

Our ego may have tantrums, gripping to the past and holding on for dear life. But we’ve been there. We know that life well - stuck in a state of survival mode and just trying to make it through. We’re done with just getting by.

The changes happening in your relationships, your career, your family and personal life, your health - it’s all here to teach you what you no longer need, to show you how far you’ve come, and to make space for the new to flourish.

It’s time to build a stronger foundation in your life. It’s time to honor your divine feminine and integrate it with mindful action.

Intuition, creativity, nurturing yourself, honoring your energy, prioritizing joy and making empowered choices in alignment with your authenticity are your greatest tools and best teachers at this time.

Exploring and healing your inner child and feeding your creative soul go hand-in-hand. We’ll explore these topics and so much more in this podcast episode.

These are interesting, challenging AND exciting times. Are you feeling it? Are you going through a lot of change or are you noticing others in your life going through it?

One of the most common questions I have received lately is this:

“How can I calm my nerves and cope with the anxiety or grief I’m feeling right now?”

Even if you aren’t personally experiencing anxiety or grief, if you are reading these words I know you are a sensitive, empathic soul, so you can probably sense and feel it from those around you.

It’s a lot right now, and we ALL could use some reminders when it comes to navigating the changes and overwhelm we are going through as a collective.

Change is in the air.

I’ve talked to so many people recently who are experiencing this: life as they know it is changing. It feels messy, chaotic and a bit unnerving.

Although a lot of the transition people are going through wouldn’t necessarily have been something they would have chosen on their own, there is also a bit of intrigue and even inspiration happening.

When going through change, we don’t know where it’s going to lead. It often feels confusing, because our 3D mind wants to know and have everything figured out!

Transformation isn’t always easy, but here’s one thing I know from personal experience, it certainly teaches us what we’re made of. Going through a big transformation reminds us how dang powerful we really are. (It also reminds us that our lives are a series of change.)

If you find yourself waking up and not recognizing your life, or knowing things need to change and aren’t sure what to do, you are in a place on your transformation journey that is showing you what is out of alignment, so you can get clear about your next steps moving forward.

Trust where you are on your path. Trust that you are being supported, one breath, one step and one moment at a time.

Creating a life that is in alignment with your authentic self and your natural rhythm, takes patience, commitment and space is needed to experiment and explore, so you can get in touch with what you really need. Making changes in life, either by choice or by force, pushes you closer to living more in alignment with your true self - and that, in the end is always worth it.

Every day offers us a new moment - a fresh clean slate - to be who we’re meant to be so we can choose steps that support our highest path moving forward.

Sometimes the best way to navigate and move through change is to practice living in the present moment. When you learn how to live in this moment and take care of yourself on your sacred self-discovery practice, you learn how to clear out the negative thoughts, you learn how to let go of the past and surrender to this moment. You learn how to be here in this now moment.

When you practice being present, you can manage overwhelm during tender times of change. You can move through your day without being so bogged down by the past or hindered by your limiting thoughts.

Going through change will open your heart and expand your awareness. It will bust through the shadows and help you shine brighter than you ever have in your life.

Be gentle with yourself as you go through change.
