Episode 8: 2019 – A Journey of Freedom, Healing, and Adventure

In this episode of A Gift of Time, I take you back to 2019—a pivotal year of personal growth, independence, and adventure. From embarking on a solo hiking trip in Colorado to adopting a rescue dog and embracing the freedom of self-discovery, this chapter of my journey was filled with challenges, triumphs, and profound realizations.

In this episode I would learn about my PTSD, as well has begin becoming more self aware throughout my relationships. Take a journey with me and my Dad as we hike in the remote wilderness of Idaho, and how I began to reconnect with my mother.

After I gave up alcohol for good, I began to have a spiritual awakening. I would have to heal through old wounds that seemed to always resurface with the same old patterns. I found peace and grounding in nature, and learned how to reframe my brain from old stories of conditioning and programming.

After my divorce, I would find solace in hiking and also very unaware that I was showing sever symptoms of PTSD. I began abusing alcohol to cope as I didn't know what I was experiencing. I began to become aware of the signs the universe would send me, and began to follow my heart and listen.

This episode depicts traumatic events during pregnancy and childbirth. HELLP Syndrome is a life threatening condition that affects pregnant women and causes death in 24% of cases. Stick around for the end when I deliver US statistics. It is alarming and needs to be shared and discussed to generate awareness for women's health in America.

After the pandemic and entering menopause, would prove to be the most challenging time of my life. I hit rock bottom and decided to give up alcohol for good.

In this episode, I go back in time to after high school and the decisions I made that would later become a part of the source of addiction and also the path to healing. Trigger warning, I do speak of domestic violence, so please take discretion.

Join me as I share how I healed emotional wounds, overcame addiction, and embraced my psychic path. In 2008, fear kept me in a failing marriage. After finding courage to leave, I fell into addiction, masking CPTSD and depression. Menopause forced me to confront my darkest wounds. Psychic visions of ancestors became my wake-up call. In 2024, a solo journey in my truck camper helped me heal and face past traumas. This podcast is my memoir—a story of resilience, growth, and transformation.
