Easy Like Sunday Morning... Mind Calming Ease....

This book was just what I was looking for... I needed a listen that was easy listening... "easy like Sunday morning" kind of listening while I completed chores around the house. This story fit the bill to a tee! Not to many characters, each were developed well enough and they are easy to keep sorted out. I like the Morgan family... upper middle class folks... the men have their heads on straight and put first things first (like education, career and then marriage) Love at first sight was one of the themes in this story with a large helping of familial love, along with a dash of jealousy, competition and protest. This novel is light hearted and made me laugh out loud on a couple of occasions. A happy ending of course! I thought Shari Peele narrated very well. I noticed that she did not change her voice to try to sound like a man for the male parts but because the characters were well drawn, I was able to hear a male's voice anyway. Very well done.. Enjoyable!

I can't deal

This dumb narrator and her constant swallowing and smackin her lips. Soooo annoying so it ruined the book. For some reason I can't really get with this author and her character development. I couldn't wait for the book to be over and as I'm writing this review....the book isn't even over.

LOVE this book. can't wait to read more books about the Morgan brother's and their latest adventures.

Absolutely Pleasurable

That ole saying when you close one window another one opens is so true for Anise Cartier. When she finally decides to move from her past and into the future she ends up welcoming into her heart; Doctor Gregory Morgan, and I must say what a fine specimen he is. Not just in my imagination via the description of Lovely, but his deed and actions is all together LOVELY.

Their hearts connected at first glance, maybe not love but definitely a connection. Anise and Gregorys attraction is fueled by lust and continues like a burning fire, one which easily ignites. But anything worth having doesnt come easy and for this couple it has its ups and downs.

Gregory is in a competition for a medical research grant. The grant will make a research center possible, a dream of his since losing his father. Anise has taken up residence at Creative Space a place artist have shared ideas for upwards of 50 years.
