Many adult children are still longing to hear words of affirmation from their fathers.  Many father's have never experienced love from a father and have been corrupted by the praise of others.  It has cause some to become proud, arrogant or even jealous of others who have served them.

Today I talk to fathers regarding this important role of affirmation in the life of others as well as their off spring.

Today  we learn principles and lessons from the Bible. Luke 15 tells the story  about a father and adult son relationship. There are lessons to apply  today for us when we have to relate with our adult children.

You may have to consider the following statement said by one  parent...'I may have caused the problem, ignored the problem, cooperated  with the problem, and helped to perpetuate the problem.'  I hope I  raise children that feel the way I do. If they know the difference  between right and wrong? Then do the right thing I say!

Final thought:

‘One thing that I learned in life is that the basis for my  disappointments is not what I found in others, but what I expected!  I  have learned to delight myself in the Lord and allow HIM to give me the  desires of my heart.’

He never disappointments [“Delight yourself also in the LORD and He shall give you the desires of your heart.”] Ps. 37:4
