A Gospel-Shaped Care For Qualified Dependents - 1 Timothy 5:3-16

How should the Church honor those who are totally devoted to God but have no means for living? Because of their social norm, widows were relying on family members, or in case of those who have no relatives at all, then, other people. This apparent presence of the widows in most churches prompted Paul to give a guideline on who to consider as truly widows. In 1 Timothy 5:13-16, Paul somehow obliged the Church to help widows who are totally dependent on the provision of God, yes, but they should also be truly devoted to serving God.
