A Hamster With a Blunt Penknife - a Doctor Who Commentary podcast

Prepare yourselves for five people to discuss three books - one they generally like, one they generally didn't and one...well press play.

Two friends; different feelings about the Matt Smith era; the same consensus. A great book; full of wit, imagination, education and entertainment. This is how you do it.

Joe, Daniel, Lucy & Dave; 'A volcano is a strange thing, my friend' The Doctor is out of action but Troughton is still busy with his mad accent, the volcanoes might not be as natural as we thought and Jamie and Victoria play spy.

Joe, Lucy, Daniel & Dave; 'It might cost you your life!' Double trouble as Patrick Troughton takes on the role of the villain and Barry Letts imagines he is directing a Bond movie for one week.

Join Joe, Rod, Mark & Toby as we face devious Daleks, pesky Pirates, the maddest of mad scientists, shiny Cybermen, malicious Macra, misunderstood Chameleons and those dastardly Daleks again!

And here's our Daniel with a quick reminder that the NSAs can cover quantum physics, existentialism, class commentary, slavery commentary and a whole host of creative funky ideas...plus the death of a regular!

Joe & Jack; 'I'll explain later...' Wil the intrepid pair survive mutation, bandelip warheads, prolonged padding and misjudged love affairs?

Joe & Jack; 'Save your breath for the Timelash, Doctor. Most people depart with a scream...' How many unambiguous pleasures can we drag from the carcass of Doctor Who in this superlatively terrible (and yet wonderful) story?

In this crossover event with Too Hot for TV, Joe, Michael and Dylan head to the Tiger Moth to join the motley crew headed by Lisa Derane, joining forces with the Doctor, Benny, Chris & Roz, to face the Sontarans and Rutans! Busy day!

Joe, Luke & Dylan; 'I want them here when the final key is inserted and my power is absolute...' Will Dylan absolve Joe of murder charges and will Luke be killed at the other end of a call? Will we have time to chip back to Arbitan and get the Conscience rocking?
