When it comes to concentration on a subject or object, if there is no genuine interest
then the mind will quickly wander onto the next thing and the next thing. If one is to
maintain a focus or concentration on a topic then a keen sense of interest is key, for
without interest there is simply no energy to attend to the matter. For example, when

This interest is simply an investigative and neutral viewing based on the immediate
reality of the moment. Interest is key, but an interest is not the same as a forced

so being conscious of what thoughts one thinks, pictures or imaginations that come
to mind, it becomes clear that when there is a conscious interest in the present, it
reveals the true nature of the moment.
