In this episode, your host, Dr. Ernest Wayde, speaks with Dr. Jill Draime, the Executive Director of Change Management for the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Office of Healthcare Transformation. Dr. Draime oversees policies, strategies, and execution of organizational change management and leads the transformation vision, stakeholder engagement, change impact, and organizational readiness and communications regarding organizational impact.

Dr. Draime shares her leadership journey, including her time as the acting VHA Chief of Staff and Deputy Chief of Staff. In the COS role, she served as an advisor to the Under Secretary for Health, representing the Under Secretary in high-level negotiations involving the establishment or implementation of policies, practices, management, and operational activities of VHA.

Dr. Draime discusses how she drew upon her training and experience as a psychologist to lead during a time of crisis for the VA. She describes her growth as a leader and her drive to be a supportive leader for all who work for her.
