Darcel Al Anthony's cultural background is perhaps a little more diverse than most Singaporeans'. A while back, she had authored a commentary for TODAYOnline entitled "As a Malay-speaking Indian girl of mixed heritage, here’s how I celebrate racial harmony every day". While growing up with a not-so-common cultural identity was sometimes challenging, Darcel eventually made an effort to learn more about her heritage and today celebrates it in all its multifaceted richness.
