Arianna opens up about her journey from dancer to landing her first major acting role, and how her character Madonna highlights the importance of Black and plus-sized girl representation in sports and on screen. We also talk about imposter syndrome, her experience on set, what’s next for her in acting, dancing, music, and more!

This Black History Month, I’m revisiting That’s So Raven Season 3, Episode 10 — “True Colors” — and talking about why this episode still matters today. From celebrating Black culture and history to addressing racial discrimination in the workplace, this episode tackled conversations many kids — including me — were rarely exposed to on TV at the time. I break down the storyline, including Corey’s dream highlighting influential Black historical figures, and the moment Raven realizes racism isn’t just something you hear about — it can hurt in very real ways.

This episode is a reminder that representation, education, and honest conversations matter — especially for young viewers still learning how the world treats people differently.
