Before anything… this video wasn’t recorded when you’re watching it. I’m currently writing exams, so please say a word of prayer for me because I need it like mad.
In this episode, I dive into something I’ve talked about before, but this time… it’s personal.
I asked my roommates what I should talk about, and friendship came up and while I’ve shared my thoughts in Girl Friendships: A Whole Lot, this episode is different. This time, I’m talking about real experiences… the ones that actually hurt.
From moments where I felt dismissed, to situations where I had to question what friendship really means, to learning the hard way that you can’t expect people to be you, I unpack it all.
I talk about the difference between friends and acquaintances, the importance (and difficulty) of communication, reciprocity, and knowing when to let go especially when you’re holding on to who someone used to be. There’s also a bit of chaos, growth, self-reflection, and accountability, because I’m not perfect either.
At the end of it all, this episode is about what friendship should feel like peace, love, understanding, and honesty and the kind of friend we should all strive to be.
And again… please don’t forget to say a prayer for me.
