Featuring two of the most important pillars of the indie dance community, Bugged Out mainstay and Phantasy boss Erol Alkan took a rare hour out of his crazy schedule to chat with one of the UK’s most sought after studio producers Flood. Swapping stories about being in the studio with Depeche Mode and U2 as well as reminiscing about working on the legendary album The Joshua Tree (an album that’s sold over 25million copies), Flood and Erol discuss how far music has travelled from the 80s to the present day.
Sitting down with her 83-year-old music teacher who fled the war before moving to London and teaching at Drama Centre, Central St Martins where he still teaches to this day as the oldest inhabitant of the school whilst also writing and directing music for a number of productions at the Royal National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company. Reunited after 20 plus years apart, they reflect on Cassy’s career and how her early classical training conflicts and also complements the dance world she now rules. Despite having not seen each other since school, it’s clear that John and Cassy’s shared respect for the art world speaks for itself.
With all focus on Kölsch this episode, this was one podcast where presenter Ralph Moore and fellow movie geek Kölsch could discuss everything from Dune, Star Wars and Blade Runner without the addition of a third party. Sharing an innate love of Science Fiction, this episode also gives an insight into Kölsch’s development as an artist and how film soundtracks directly influenced his technical production.
Almost an enigma, we finally pinned down the Blessed Madonna, as she finished her mental world tour, grabbing breakfast with presenter Ralph Moore as well as collaborators and friends Choose Love founder Philli Boyle and Ugandan refugee Aloysius, founder of LGBTQ refugee support network ‘Say It Loud’ club. Discussing the importance of having somewhere to call home, The Blessed Madonna reflects on her time working with the charity as well as the ongoing relationship between dance music and activism.
Recorded at his request at HMS House at his spiritual home in Brighton, this was the first A Little Moore Conversation podcast. Sitting down in Norman's kitchen with fellow pop art fan and artist Mark Vessey, as well as comparing notes on Kate Moss and Keith Haring; Norman also discusses his love of collecting/ hoarding whilst routing through his legendary record collection.
Personally picked by Pete Tong (“it has to be Stuart!”), triple Grammy Award winner Stuart Price guests on a Little Moore Conversation, discussing how they share a lot more than just the L.A. school run. Pete’s tour of the clubs in the late 90s and early 2000s often featured a Stuart Price track which is where the pair originally bonded, which has now developed into a mutual respect of tennis, Talk Talk and Madonna, whom Stuart produced both on tour and in the studio on ‘Confessions’.
