Before I ever thought of becoming a teacher, I was already helping people learn.
In this entry of my audio journal, I take you back to my first English classes at age seven, learning through music, and helping classmates and neighbors, and sometimes right in the hallway of my building.
I also share how an unexpected opportunity led to my first teaching job in 2011, and why I eventually decided to start my own business.
Along the way, we explore three useful expressions: • Looking back • Learn as you go • Word of mouth
As you listen, think about your own journey: is something you enjoyed in the past connected to your life today?
Tell me in the comments. You can start with “Looking back, I…”
A little more about me. A little more English for you.

Every story starts somewhere. This is the beginning of mine: in audio.
In this first entry of “A Little More with Letícia”, I introduce myself and share why I’m starting an audio journal in English.
You’ll meet the person behind the lessons: a teacher, mother, International Trade student, and language learner with stories to share.
Along the way, we explore two everyday expressions: • “Get to know someone” • “Something that’s been on my mind”
Listen for the main ideas, come back for the details, and take a moment to answer: What’s one thing you’d like me to know about you?
A little more about me. A little more English for you.
