A Major Victory For Freedom of Religion On Campus

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. Chike Uzuegbunam, a student at Gwinnett College in Georgia, won a huge First Amendment victory this week at the Supreme Court. In 2016, Chike was sharing his faith with students and handing out literature on campus about Christianity. Campus police stopped him, and told him he could only do it in a small designated area. So he reserved that spot, but campus police stopped him again, saying you can’t talk about your faith because people are complaining. But the Supreme Court ruled 8-1 that quote “Uzuegbunam had experienced a complete violation of his constitutional rights when respondents enforced their speech policies against him.” In truth, the First Amendment establishes all of America as one, entire free speech zone. Gwinnett College should remember that for a long, long time.
