In Episode 202, Hech speaks with Local 52 member, Enzo Martinez.    Hech and Enzo discuss how they cope as fathers during this work stoppage that has been going on for over 4 months.   The topic of quality time is addressed again, as well family, and finance.  What are some of the things we can do now while we are not working?    What are some of the things we have done to make sure our children's live aren't also impacted and a negative way?   Are we prepared for their sake?   Or, do we just live on the edge, and when we fall in on the deep end, learn how to swim?

In Episode 201, Hech speaks with Local 52 Studio Mechanic, Wes Walker.    During this historic double union strike, Hech and Wes discuss how they cope or no not cope with the work stoppage that has been going on for over 4 months.   This first episode really opens the door on conversations that must be had on "A Man Of Color".    How are film-professionals of color dealing with a sudden and long term loss of income?     How are we handling it mentally?   Emotionally?    Are we actually talking about it among ourselves?    Are we prepared for moments in our careers like this?   Is there help out there for those of us below the line?

In Series 2 of "A Man Of Color" Hech talks to various FILM PROFESSIONALS OF COLOR  about how they are living their lives during this historic work-stoppage. (WGA & SAG-AFTRA Strike 2023)

Hech and his guests open up and allow themselves to be vulnerable for the sake of sharing their methods of managing life during a strike in our industry.     However, this information and podcast is NOT INTENDED to be a comparison of notes for current day crew members.   (Although they will find these episodes interesting in one way or another).   Series 2 is entitled "Get Fresh Crew" and is geared towards the FILM PROFESSIONAL OF COLOR of the FUTURE!       

In 5,10, maybe 20 years from now, A Man Of Color hopes to provide insight for the next generation of crew members that are experiencing a work stoppage like we are now in 2023.    The goal is to provide ideas, and wisdom that will be useful to manage time, money, and stress, AS WELL AS, show that there is an end to situations like this and that the stoppage is temporary.   

God bless our crew members.     There is never a good time for a fight.    There will always be collateral damage.    Hopefully the insight from "GET FRESH CREW"  will help soften the blow in the future for our FILM PROFESSIONALS OF COLOR.

Hech and One9 (Director/Exec Producer/Artist) discuss and explore a film professionals roots and upbringing, and whether or not they affect one's creative force, freedom, and fears.    One9 shares his experience of developing, creating and finishing  "Nas: Time Is Illmatic", and how his roots help in its inception.

Hech discusses "Getting It Done" with Youtuber, Artist, and 2nd AC, Matt Albano.   In a world and an industry where everybody is always, "working on something", Hech pushes for having "DONE IT" verses, "doing it."     Matt Albano, is Hech's first guest that is not of "color" however Matt speaks on being a "Ragu Italian", and not Caucasian....       

Hech meets up with Salvador Bolivar, (Director Of Photography/Lighting Technician) to discuss the importance and value of time.    

In Episode 101 Hech is joined by Director of Photography, Ramulas Burgess.   They talk about having a bigger plan (or not) during one's journey through our wonderful, and illustrious Film and Television Industry.   "The End Game" is a term and life skill that Hech learned from his father while learning how to play Chess, Hech uses chess to help demonstrate and provide guidance in life, as well as a guide in one's career.
