In July 2020, Mayor Greg Mengarelli formed a group called, “Mayor’s Commission on Water & Sewer Connections” to explore the possibility of connecting septic users receiving City water to public sewer.   The Mission and Goals of the Commission are to reduce the environmental impacts of septic systems on the natural streams, lakes, and reservoirs in and around the City and to decrease pumping impacts to the aquifer within the Prescott Active Management Area through increased recharge of effluent.
