I grew up in India listening to Punjabi music & as an adult, I have traveled to various Latin American countries, learned their dance forms, language & even performed DJ sets in Panama, Costa Rica & Peru. I can't believe it's taken me this long to post a mixtape mixing songs from two of my favorite dance music genres!

Also, I simply could not settle on the songs to choose & there are many more I want to share with you so please consider this one first of a series. ;)

Mi Gente Bollywood (My Bollywood People) is a taste of the sound coming out of underground Indian producers. In this mixtape DJ Prashant curates remixes of Bollywood & world music focusing on the fusion of Indian & Latin music.

He starts with mashups of the popular track Mi Gente then takes listeners on a journey which ends with a Sufi song Mere Rashke Kamar.
