(EDITED: In today's episode, I talked about a story that turned out to be fake.
I did not perform due diligence and check into the accuracy of those "facts". I failed my listeners, and myself. I perpetuated sensationalism masquerading as journalism, and reduced myself to the level of the pseudojournalists that I hold so much disdain for.
In an effort to redeem myself, I have edited today's episode, explaining what I did wrong, and how I will avoid this sort of thing in the future.
I apologize to my listeners and urge all of you to learn from my mistake - don't believe everything you read, especially on the internet, and double check something before you share it.)
