There are moments in life when betrayal, rejection, disappointment, and pain try to wrap themselves around our hearts like chains. At first the chains may seem small—an offense we never dealt with, words spoken over us that wounded deeply, a betrayal we never expected, or a season of suffering that slowly drained our hope.
