Paul writes with focus on the past, present, and future of gentiles. In the past, they were separated from Messiah and the promise of God's blessings. But when Messiah died, the wall between Jews and Gentiles was broken, and God created "one new man," without barriers. Within this "Body of Messiah," we are all fellow citizens of God's Kingdom, members of His household, and part of His Temple, each manifesting the work of God's Spirit.
