A note to my 12-17 year old self that might feel like a note to yourself at that age as well. We are not here to shame, blame, or feel guilt. None of those things can change the past. Instead, we are here to show our younger selves some guidance, some gentleness, some forgiveness. We are all the leaders of our own lives. That is hard work at times. Be kind to yourself as you lead the way.
