Littlepip ventures alone into the Canterlot Royal Palace in search of something that might put an end to the Pink Cloud, though is horrified by what she finds inside. Later, the gang venture into the Ministry of Awesome warehouse in search of their final prize... finally, they are able to escape Canterlot and resume their journey through the Wasteland.

Littlepip and the gang rescue a young zebra from a flock of bloodwings. They take him to the nearby town of Glyphmark, where Xenith believes her daughter to be. Learning that she is not there, Pip, Steelhooves, Calamity and Xenith travel to Zebratown where they learn exactly how dangerous the pink cloud can be.

All the time, Littlepip learns more about the town from Grandpa Rattle before helping him and the other survivors get into Friendship city. Pip and her companions begin to fray, but they remember that together, they are stronger.

Littlepip deals with the fallout of shutting down the Vault 29 Crusader Mainframe. She then moves out alongside Steelhooves to go and negotiate the safe return of the now comatose Elder Cottage Cheese. Negotiations go sour and the gang are forced to return to the town of Arbu that they saved from a group of bandits. All isn't quite right with the town though, and Littlepip sets out with the righteous fury of hell following behind her.

Littlepip and Xenith go exploring through the Old Olneigh Hospital in search of the medical supplies they need. They learn a little more about the IMP that was being developed during the old war. Afterwards, the group make it safely back to Tenpony Tower, where Littlepip makes a rash decision that comes close to costing her a friendship.
