We’ve all been there at some point. The Dr. appt that feels rushed, the physio that has 4 patients going at once, or even just being handed a sheet of exercises to do.
Patient centred care builds a relationship, allows the person who is living with pain to be heard and brought in on their treatment.
Let’s look at what Patient Centred Care is and how we can learn a little more about building this functional and more effective relationship with our medical support team.
These are the facts that we know, through research.
Try out these questions…
With back pain, what % will recover within 7 days: 20%, 45%, or 70%?
And… if you do nothing for treatment after you do recover from a back pain episode, how likely is it to return within a year? 47%, 69%, or 83%?
Find out in this episode of A Path From Pain!
Remember, the more you know, the better decisions you make and the more manageable your persistent pain will be.
