A perfect pair

Listen Later

A perfect pair

Can’t eat, I can’t sleep a wink; head’s rolling in and out

like the tide and I’m starting to sink

Frayed nerves, chewed nails, on the brink; I’ve got so much

on my mind but I just can’t think

Straight ahead, far behind; always something on my mind

Life’s been treating me so unkind, still I just feel we’re

going to find

The last piece of the puzzle, finally see the map, find your

way to a smile sit here on my lap

It’s not on your phone, no there isn’t an app; kiss your

pretty face and give your ass a slap

Like how they used to greet a newborn, that list of fears

gets torn

Way past due to welcome a new morn, a queen’s throne for you

to adorn

Leave the rest lay in the ashes of the pain, wipe your hands

to cleanse the stain

No more worry or disdain, time to drop that day and learn to

live again

You’re not beholden to anyone there, bruises and bloodstains

don’t equate care

Fix your gorgeous face and do your lovely hair, come and

stand with me to make a perfect pair

From now to the end of time, and then a little longer, every

day my love for you gets stronger

Take my hand, my heart my love, babe it’s always there, come

and stand with me to make a perfect pair

I love you Christina!
