Under the guidance of their teacher Dr. Julie Watts (and with a little help from the folks at Historic America), the 8th grade history students of The Rhoades School in San Diego, CA have built something truly unique: a time traveling news podcast bringing you yesterday's news today! Our first episode focuses on the story of San Diego's world famous Balboa Park.

Part 2 of a 2 part series focusing on Abraham Lincoln's Cottage - the president's sanctuary during the most turbulent days of the American Civil War.
In this episode, Abraham Lincoln stargazes, recites Shakespeare to Edwin Stanton and befriends the soldiers who guard him before he & his family must evacuate their hideaway in the face of an advancing rebel army. Finally, an anonymous assassin takes aim at the President during a moonlit horseback ride.
