This week, Kim welcomes Lora Stearns, the Advisor of Area Development for the Carolinas at the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The two look back on the history of St. Jude, its mission to provide free treatment and support to children and their families, and the importance of funding for their groundbreaking research. Lora highlights the various creative outlets available to the children, such as music and art therapy, that help them process their emotions during their cancer journey.

They discuss the incredible efforts of Memory Makers in giving back to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. They share how a card-making initiative was started for Valentine's Day and later extended to Christmas, where handwritten cards are made and sent to the kids at St. Jude. Kim emphasizes that these efforts are intentional and from the heart, and she touches on the Memory Makers' desire to expand the giving back program, and to make St. Jude one of the focal points of how Broad River gets involved.
